Account options
Clicking on the gear icon
under the Account info will show several options, which are further explained below.
Add to Group
You can put accounts in specific groups, which then gives them access to specific functions within the Admin portal. In general this is only for internal use
for your support people, sales department, etc.
By default there is an Admin group and a Support group. The biggest difference between those is that the Admin group can destroy an account, which the support group is more geared towards "general" support. You can create your own groups too via the Admin Management
option.
Add/Assign Licence
This gives a licence to the user. If it's a user that already has a licence, you can use this to add unassigned licences
to the account, which can then later on be assigned by the user or by yourself via the admin portal
.
Change Email
You can change the logon email of the account here. Skip confirmation
is selected by default, so that the user themselves don't need to confirm the change.
Confirm Account
When a new account is created, we send out an email to the user to confirm their account via a link in the mail. If for whatever reason the user didn't confirm their account, you can do it yourself via this option.
Create Vault
Creates a Vault for the account.
Destroy Account
Destroys the account completely, including all their Vaults (!
). Do keep in mind that you can only destroy an account after removing their licence
.
Edit Account
Change the account info here. The user can also do this via themselves via https://<hostname>/my
Forgot Password
Generates a one-time link which can be used to reset a password for the account.
Impersonate account / Request Account Impersonation
A newly created account has account impersonation turned on for 24 hours, via Impersonate Account
you can log in as that account to perform tasks on their behalf. If it's an account that's older then 24 hours, you first need to get permission of the user via Request Account Impersonation
. If the user allows it, you can use Impersonate Account
for 24 hours. Do keep in mind that the user will always be notified by email when logging in with their account.
Start auto renew on all licences
This allows you to turn on the renewal for all the licences that are linked to the account.
Stop auto renew on all licences
This allows you to turn off the renewal for all the licences that are linked to the account.
